The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board presides over the Inland Fisheries of the Shannon catchment, the River Feale catchment in north Co Kerry and the rivers of Co Clare flowing westwards to the Atlantic.

The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board has a website which offers a complete regional game, coarse, pike and sea angling guide to assist Angling Tourists and Irish Anglers interested in fishing the Shannon region, an extensive river catchment with an area of over 7,000 sq. miles.

There is much detailed information on this site which will prove a very useful resource to anglers planning a visit to these waters.

The website features in season - real time angling reports, a dedicated section to the best Pike Fisheries, Coarse Fisheries (all main species), All Coarse Angling Centres, Wheelchair access - venues suitable for the
physically disabled angler, Salmon and Trout rivers and lakes fully described, Seashore, and Inshore Angling Guides and Interactive Map, full lists of supporting angling services and useful contacts locally, hints and tips on fishing in Ireland, fish species in Ireland and angling notes, Educational/Environmental information and conservation issues, and lots more.

Over 2001 the board will continue to develop the site and aim to introduce community building tools and other exciting developments are in prospect.
