Experimental Drainage Maintenance
Over the last number years the CFB has been contracted by the Office of Public Works to assist with the preparation and implementation of an experimental drainage programme. The aim of the CFB's involvement is to minimise the impact of drainage maintenance on fish stocks and produce guidelines in relation to maintenance practice in specific channel types.
In 2001 a detailed report was produced by the CFB on the programme and findings to date. With the kind permission of OPW this report is now available online.
